Not quite the social butterfly...
Starting to feel like a NTU-reject! First was the volunteer for open house thing, and now WSC. How many more times do I need to convince myself that it's a blessing in disguise, given the heavy workload now? Hmm, maybe I'm not that suited to having a life in uni after all.
it's one thing to be left out in school, and another to be left out by friends...

I am old...
I am old enough to remember when Plaza Sing was old and unhip.
I am old enough to remember when Far East Plaza had Metro and Mcdonald's.
I am old enough to remember Yaohan at Marina Square and Sogo at Raffles City. (and come to think of it, Metro at Marina Square as well!)
I am old enough to remember that Marina Square had a fountain, and a huge arcade above the foodcourt which had famous chicken rice, and the foodcourt was on the first floor near KFC.
I am old enough to remember when IMM had IMM MegaMart (with white plastic bags and blue words) instead of Giant.
I am old enough to remember when 187 was under SBS and not SMRT.
I am old enough to remember the appearance of the first double-decker bus. (Bus 7, in case you're wondering)
I am old enough to remember a time without LRT and NEL.
I am old enough to remember when Singapore movies meant Army Daze and not Jack Neo or Royston Tan.
I am old enough to remember when Mediacorp was not called Mediacorp but SBC and TCS.
I am old enough to remember where Haw Par Villa was still open and I was playing the log (flume) ride thingy.
I am old enough to remember asking Dad to buy Polly Pocket (tiny plastic dolls) for me.
I am old enough to remember when Neopets was as popular as Facebook is today.
I am old enough to remember when Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, N'Sync and A1 just started out, and Backstreet Boys and Westlife were popular.
I am old enough to remember the ORIGINAL Power Rangers which was called Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Red Ranger was called Jason and Pink Ranger was called Kimberly - based on memory!!)
I am old enough to remember the red-bricked National Library.
I am old enough to remember when both Macau and Hong Kong weren't part of China.
I am old enough to remember the 3 1/2 inch floppy disk (A: drive!) being used to transfer data.
I am old enough to remember using LDs (laser disc?) to watch movies like The Land Before Time 1-4. (which is damn nice by the way)
I am old enough to remember using a typewriter in my house.
I am old enough to remember when Gao Xiao Xing Dong, Liang Si Mei and Liang Popo were damn popular.
I am old enough to remember a show called Cheng Ren Za Zhi (City Beat) and was hosted by Huang Sufang, Bryan Wong, Kym Ng (Ms Tan) and Sharon Au (Ah Hao).
I am old enough to remember a time without Kbox, Sweetalk and BreadTalk.
I am old enough to remember IRC and ICQ.
I am old enough to remember when Kinokuniya first opened in Ngee Ann City.
I am old enough to remember that WALKMAN actually meant a portable casette player with/without FM radio.
I am old enough to remember a time where handphones didn't exist!
Hmm. These days, the only constant thing is change.
(ps: if you remember stuff I don't, please tag!)

God I love surprises and surprising people. So here I am finally updating my blog. 2 months have passed! That's as long as like, repeating half of Da Chang Jin on TV. (which I've just finished watching again.. like for the nth time)
I think leos have a scary competitive streak in them. I'm currently wishing that I had bothered to sign up for exchange programmes this hols because SO MANY FRIENDS ARE GOING OVERSEAS TO EXCITING PLACES AND FOR LONG PERIODS (and relatively cheap too).. damn. like there's a friend in USA now who's going to be there for 3 months, another friend going to MEXICO for summer studies (envious about the idea of going overseas, but NOT the place itself), and someone's going Korea on exchange as well. EVEN MY MOTHER is going overseas to avoid the heat. and poor me (literally and figuratively) is staying on this sunny island! hooray.
Friends in/going to uni, please treasure the opportunities to go on exchanges! I can only travel like AFTER I GRADUATE, no thanks to the internship next year! so much for a short, 3year degree. sigh
envious post. blah.
someone find me an accting related job!
